Recently read an article about how the Athishtanam of Sri Sri Atma Bodendhraal (58th Pontiff of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam) @ Vadavambalam was found. Since then I started craving about visiting this place. Finally it happened on Apr 14th 2010. Nothing eventful about the trip. But then it was something I will remember forever.
Vadavambalam is a village in Vilupuram district. It is located between Vikravandi & Panruti. You can find quite a number of URLs which can give you driving directions(about 3 hours from Chennai). The Athishtanam is a small 20x20 room with a Thulasi Madam (Tulsi Plant on a pedestal) at the centre and a Shiva Lingam in front of the Thulasi Madam.
